Hypothetically, if you left and showed no signs of coming back, I would logically assume that they would retrieve you. Because I don't see how they could not. They will find out. I'm told the tattoo will register it, although I can't see, so I can't completely confirm that for you.
But I also don't understand what drives a large number of how they've treated with us lately. And I suspect that means the answer is...they won't do anything. At least not immediately.
